Samsung has launched a new high-end cell phone called the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S that has every reasons to boast of just not great looks but of great applications.The phone sports a smart & sexy look with a width of only 9.9m,a panel size of only 4″ and a plastic body with a fingerprint magnet at the back of which is a 5megapixel camera.It has a 16million Super AMOLED screen below which two buttons are sensitive to touch directly bringing the menu and back apps.The Home key is also in the centre of the cell phone.
In the left spine is the rocker to adjust the volume and on the right the power or the key to lock the phone is placed.The top panel has a space for a micro USB and a jack of 3.5mm.Under the plastic battery cover is the slot for a microSD card which is resistant to heat.
Samsung I9000 OS and Applications
With an Android OS of 2.1 and an advanced user experience called the TouchWiz 3 Ul,it has 7screen panels where icons like samsung & Android Widgets can be added besides other shortcuts.The panels have 4 bottom touch keys which takes one to the apps for messaging or directly to the main menu, just by a replacement of the home key. The screen panel can be numerically increased and live wallpapers are available on screen.Bluetooth,WiFi, vibration and silent mode can be accesssed by the top placed notification bar.The functions last accessed can be re-accessed by keeping the home key pressed for a little longer.It operates on the basis of an innovative input tech called the Swype along with a 1GHz hummingbird processor which facilities accurate & fast typing by a simple drag of fingers across the keyboard.
Multiple Connectivity Options
The phone supports multiple features & applications which allows to access many at a time.All popular accounts can be accessed while sending an email with the help of Microsoft Exchange.GPRS or WiFi can be used for the purpose of internet connectivity and files can be shared at random with a bluetooth. The web browser is too advanced to gain access to multiple windows the double tapping feature helps to zoom in & out easily.Applications are offerd by Samsung app store as well as Android market. Specific browsers like the Layer reality provides accurate information using the 5megapixel camera and GPS features guided by Google Maps.A virtual book reader called the Aldiko allows to download and carry books within the contents of your mobile.Creation of new spreadsheets,documents and presentation as well as the opening of PDF files is made easy with the ThinkFree Office.You can also access social networking sites namely Facebook,Twitter and integrate the contacts in your phonebook with your acconts in SNS and Gmail.
Exellent Camera Performance
It has a video player and a recorder with the most advanced Android support systems such as DivX and XivD which can play as high as 720p videos and can record 1280 x 720 p res videos @ 30 frames / second and can be modified to capture 2560 x 1920pixels at maximum capacity. with sharp video quality and color adjustments. The 5megapixel camera has has interesting options such as macro mode,shake control,beauty & smile shot,face & blink detection, etc.But the only annoying feature is that the camera lacks a flash system which may not be abile to provide good images in dim light for which the VGA camera is a secondary option.
Samsung Galaxy I9000 Music & Multimedia
It offers a good music quality in a music player and supports FM radio with RDs support.It has the added advantage of being accessed even when the screen is locked and any headset of your choice can be fixed to the 3.5mm jack to hear the songs of your like.The music player makes it interestingly possible to depict songs, albums, genres or artists on a CD-like interface which can be scrolled.It comes with 7 equalizer presets with custom & auto modes.Sound & effect features help add effects such as bass enhancement, music clarity which produces concert hall like sound effects.The batery backup may prove to be efficient owing to the 1500mAh battery.

Hi everyone, upgraded myself to this sleek Samsung Galaxy S i9000, after lots of research, it was a tough decision as all the similar latest models had almost similar features, the fast speed 1GB hummingbird processor, good battery life, excellent GPS features & really amazingly clear screen made me decide to select this model over others. Since almost over five weeks of usage no call drops, no phone hangs or freezes, no sync problems, has given me true satisfaction of my wise decision to pick this phone. Wi-Fi & blue tooth usage has much less battery drain compared to its competitors (no names please). Video calling is charm on this phone 'cos of 1GB processor. Radio usage reception is excellent almost always. With 32GB memory, watched AVATAR in HD on my i9000 and at end of it I used 50% battery – not bad eh! Amazing masterpiece created by Samsung Galaxy S team. Overall performance is excellent for my usage. My advice buy the model which suits your usage habits, this model for sure is way ahead of others per my personal research, usage & satisfaction.

is it a Dual SIm??

I have this phone from last two months. I likes its features very much because of android, which allows syncing with google account, and social sites like facebook very smoothly and effortlessly. What I don't like about this phone is the performance. It hangs a lot. Whenever I run application like skype, facebook mobile app, it just stops responding. Sometime I face problem to respond a incoming call as well because of the hanging problem. I am facing problem daily with the this. I face problem while inputting text as well with swipe text as well.
