May 10 — The upcoming quad-core Intel Core series processors for mobile platform would be one of the most technology advanced mobiles in the current scenario. However, the details of the product got leaked with HP Envy 17 laptop’s service manual. The HP manual revealed that the three new quad-core Intel Core i7 processors and two quad-core Intel Core i5 processors will be out in market with the full details. A few months back Intel had introduced Core i3, i5, and i7 processors for mobile platform.

The upcoming techology of Intel Core i7 processors has the clock speed of 1.86GHz. And when require, it can be upgraded to 3.20GHz with the help of Turbo Boost. The Core i7-840QM has 8MB of L3 Cache and Thermal Design Power rating of 45W.

Another quad-core processor of Intel Core i7 is the Core i7-940XM Extreme. It comes with 2.26GHz clock speed and it increased up to 3.33GHz with the help of Turbo Boost.

The new dual core 2.4 GHz Core i5-540M with 3MB L3 Cache is incorporated in the Intel Core i5 Mobile processors and can be expanded to 2.93GHz with the help of Turbo Boost feature.

Another two products of same advanced technology named Intel Core i5-500M series processors Core i5-530M and Core i5-550M would be come in the market at the same thermal design power rating (TDP) of 35W.
