The Android era was welcomed in India by HTC and now it has come up with a very new model, the HTC Legend. It is a touchscreen bar phone and seems to be absolutely bewitching. The body of the handset is made up of aluminium and the layoaut is sleek and stylish, making it stand apart among the crowd of phones look wise.
The camera circle and the battery cover is enhanced with black rubber which gives an outstanding look to the device. The opening mechanism of the battery cover is unique, which can also be termed as complicated. At the bottom is a small rectangular cover and you need to slide it. This will expose one more plastic flip cover and with its outward flip the battery can be accessed. Below the battery is the SIM card and microSD card slots.
The screen is 3.2-inch AMOLED having capacitive touch interface. Below the screen you can see three function keys. The two keys are dedicated to Home and Menu where as the one key is for Back and Search.
Below the keys you can find round optical trackpad and it works well. The volume rocker is on the left panel and the right panel don’t house any function hardware. On the top panel is 3.5-mm jack along with the power/lock key. The USB/Charging slot is housed at the bottom panel.

The home screen hard key also works as a task-switcher.

Browser is flash supported and you gestures can be used while browsing such as double tapping, zooming in and zooming out of webpage. The handset supports Microsoft Exchange, and emails of POP3 and IMAP4. Well, the documents can be opened but cannot be edited or even created new ones. This is bad of the phone. Oh yes, you can also open PDF files.
The GPS feature of the handset is really impressive and the handset is also pre-loaded with location based HTC Footprints app.
